What if no one is home at time of delivery?
All of our shipments require confirmation of delivery by signature. This means that if no one is available at time of delivery, a notification card with instructions is left. If the parcel is not picked-up within the prescribed period of time it is returned to us. Additional shipping charges can be incurred on returned shipments. [Back to Top]

What type of box does the sign come in?
We have designed special "environment friendly" shipping boxes utilizing recycled cardboard and an ingenious method of suspending your sign in the center of the box, thereby reducing risk of damage. Breakage is rare but it can happen, approximately 1 in 1,120.  [Back to Top]

What must happen when the sign arrives?
Upon receipt of your sign you must remove it from the box and make sure it has arrived in perfect condition.  [Back to Top]

What if the sign arrives broken? Is there a time limit to put in a breakage claim?
If the sign was damaged in shipping, you must notify us within 48 hrs. of delivery by phone, fax, or e-mail and we will immediately commence production of an identical replacement sign COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE.  [Back to Top]

What precautions should be taken during installation?
Approximately 1 in 1,400 signs is broken by the installer. There are no defects in the stone or defects that occur during manufacture that can cause the sign to break. In each case it was either because the wall it was being attached to was uneven and no shims were used (stone does not bend) or the mounting screws were over-tightened. The tag that comes attached to the bag containing the mounting hardware says "CAUTION do not over-tighten screws. Hand tighten only."  [Back to Top]

What if the sign breaks while being installed?
If the sign breaks when it is being installed, this is beyond our control. However, it is our desire to keep our customers happy. Therefore, if you break your sign within 30 days of delivery and notify us by phone we will replace your sign with an identical one on a 50/50 cost sharing basis plus shipping. We will honor this guarantee only once. We've never needed to do it twice.  [Back to Top]

How long will the sign last?
Provided you don't drop it installing it.... the stone and the carved image could last for millions of years. If part of your sign was painted, we use only monument grade enamels for durability. If you selected genuine 23kt gold leaf, even with exposure to acid rain, you should enjoy 25+ years of gleaming gold before it needs regilding. Genuine gold endures longest when it is not touched. [Back to Top]
