Much to our surprise, the Kinsman Club of Canada commissioned us to do a custom Slate Garden Sign
in gold for a special project. We later found out it was submitted to the Queen as a gift together with
an invitation. They were hopeful she might be enticed to come to Canada as part of their 100th anniversary
celebrations. Unfortunately, her busy schedule prevented her acceptance, but she kept our sign! Here is
an excerpt from the letter:
"The Queen has also asked me to send her warm thanks for the delightful garden plaque which accompanied
your letter. Although Her Majesty does not normally accept unsolicited gifts, she has made an exception in
this case, and I should be glad if you would pass her thanks to all those who contributed to the present."
